“I Create High End/ Hand-Made, Custom Original Drawings, so you can CONNECT and LOVE your masterpiece Artwork!” "REAL I NOT AI"
My Origin
My artistic journey began during the pandemic, a time when the world suddenly felt small and distant. We were stuck at home, separated from one another, trying to cope with the silence and uncertainty. Before all of that, I had casually drawn simple characters for my colleagues, nothing impressive, barely better than stick figures. Still, those small sketches meant something to me. They were my way of putting face to name, of helping new hires feel a sense of connection during orientation.
As I kept sketching, I noticed something unexpected. Slowly, almost without realizing it, I was improving. That small progress sparked curiosity, and soon I found myself drawing more often, filling sketchbooks just to see how far I could go. I was still average, still unsure—but something inside me was waking up.
Then 2020 arrived, and with it, isolation. One quiet day, while scrolling through YouTube, I came across a video of an artist drawing a horse using only colored pencils. I remember stopping everything. I was completely mesmerized. The level of detail, the life in the drawing—it didn’t feel like a picture. It felt real. I couldn’t look away. I wasn’t just impressed; I felt pulled toward it, as if something deep inside me was asking, what if you tried?
I’ve never been drawn to painting—the mess, the unpredictability—but colored pencils felt different. They felt controlled, intimate. During that time, my curiosity became intense, almost overwhelming. I don’t know exactly what changed in me, but I started to visualize animals in my mind. Images of horses, gorillas, tigers kept appearing, urging me to see if I could bring them to life on paper.
My early attempts were still amateurish, but this time I saw potential. For the first time, I believed there might be something more in my hands. I invested in higher-quality pencils, the same kind I had seen in that video, and decided to challenge myself. I chose to draw larger —an elephant and a black panther. I didn’t overthink it. I simply trusted the process.
What happened next still feels hard to explain.
As the drawings took shape, the animals began to feel alive. I would step away, walk around the house, and feel the black panther’s eyes following me. It was as if it was watching, waiting. I felt transported—like I was no longer in my home, but deep in the Amazon jungle, sharing a moment with this powerful, silent creature. The elephant had the same effect. I felt as though I had traveled to Africa, standing face-to-face with something ancient and wise. These weren’t just drawings. They felt like moments frozen in time.
I had never experienced anything like that before.
That feeling—the connection—followed me into my commissions. When I began drawing pets for people, I realized the eyes were everything. The eyes became the bridge between the drawing and the soul of the animal. When someone saw their pet staring back at them from the paper, I could see it in their reaction—the recognition, emotion, the connection. Their companion was right there.
That’s when I knew something special was happening.
Today, when I draw, I am no longer just sketching images. I am capturing presence. I am creating a connection between moments, memories, and emotions—bringing life to paper in a way that allows others to feel close to what they love. People can even interact with my drawings and visualize their connections.
Medium & Inspiration
Although I enjoyed art classes in high school, I set aside drawing until recently. Colored pencils became my medium of choice for their ability to produce vibrant, detailed work reminiscent of painting—without the mess. Living in Miami, Florida, after growing up in Chicago, I find endless inspiration in the city’s wildlife, pets, and colorful landscapes.
What I Offer
I specialize in wildlife and pet portraits, as well as landscapes and objects. While I haven’t ventured into portraiture yet, I’m open to exploring it in the future. My goal is to deliver high-quality, custom artwork that celebrates the beauty of nature. I also dabble in a little abstract work. I use only the finest materials to ensure each piece exceeds expectations.
If you’re interested in a unique, personalized drawing, I welcome commissions and look forward to bringing your vision to life.
